Mr Salvesen has been a Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at East and North Herts NHS Trust, Lister Hospital, Stevenage since 1998. His private medical practice is based at Pinehill Hospital, Hitchin, Hertfordshire, being convenient for both Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire. He is dedicated to providing effective and efficient gynaecology treatment options in a caring and professional manner. His vision is to provide you with a personalised evidence-based approach to gynaecology treatment in an open, honest and friendly environment.
Mr Salvesen qualified at St Thomas' Hospital, London in 1986. He undertook specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St Thomas' Hospital, King's College Hospital and Queen Charlotte's Hospital. At Kings College Hospital he spent two years undertaking Fetal Medicine research and training in Obstetric (pregnancy) ultrasound under the supervision of Professor K Nicolaides.
He has extensive experience in the management of a wide range of gynaecology conditions and he also provides an early pregnancy ultrasound service up to 19 weeks gestation. He offers non invasive prenantal testing with the Harmony and Serenity Tests.
